The video explains in simple language the importance of development of herbicide resistant plant in this case round up soyabean. The underlying mechanism of the process that give herbicide resistant is explained in simple assamese language. The herbicide glyphosate targets the EPSP synthase enzyme to block the Shikimic acid pathway important for production of Aromatic amino acid. By application of Biotechnological tool we incorporate a mutant gene CP4 EPSP for production of the mutant enzyme to which glyphosate could not bind. Therby we develop a herbicide resistant soyabean variety. @axomiabio
