Kochi: Poet Chemmanam Chacko, 93,
Kochi: Poet Chemmanam Chacko, 93, has died at his residence at Padamukal, Kakkanad. Through his satirical writings, Chemmanam had criticized the unethical practices existed in the society. He is popular for the contributions he made to the Malayalam literature. Chemmanam Chacko was born in the Mulakkulam village, Kottayam on March 7, 1926 to Sara and Yohannan Kathanar. The funeral is on Saturday at St. Mary's Orthodox Cathedral Church, Mulakkulam.
