The longer we hunt for and find these “native American” artifacts the more we understand about the people that created them and the more we understand the sites they are found on. Most sites aren’t very big at all, maybe a quarter to a half acre but this site is the largest and richest we have ever had the privilege of digging. We had thought most of it had been dug but just now realize we have only begun to scratch the surface (and subsurface). We now know that we have to dig deeper and the tractor and big table make this so much easier. This place is on another level! Artifacts have ranged from a few hundred years old up to twelve thousand years old but the stratigraphy is crazy. No doubt logging and farming over the years has moved everything around, old stuff is shallow and younger stuff is deep in places. So come along with us on another unbelievable arrowhead hunt on one of the greatest sites in North America!
