Once the Tarantula Hawk found the Tarantula, it circled around it for about 8 minutes. Then the spider wasp attempted to crawl, on it's back, under the Tarantula, to sting the arachnid. It chased and stung the spider multiple times with her 3/8 of an inch stinger, one of the most painful insect stings in the world. After paralyzing the Tarantula, the Hawk dragged the spider about 30 feet and stuffed it in it's nest. The whole attack covered an area of nearly 50 feet. The original film was around 40 minutes.
