How to replace the timing chain on 5.4l 260 Boss V8. As swapped into our Ford AU Falcon XR6 Tickford.
In order to stop the AUboss from sounding like a tractor on start up and preventing a possible engine failure, we decided to replace the timing chains and tensioners, we did not expect to find what we did though.
What a great motor though! With Quad cams and amazing engineering - the Boss Motor is built to rev! Once fitted we have an amazing and unique street registered AU Falcon with a 260 5.4 Litre Quad Cam Ford V8, taking the place of the wheezy old Ford 4.0 Litre "intech" six-cylinder. We decided not to Barra swap this project as a point of difference and also to challenge the norm.
We mated an Ex Police FPV BA Ford Falcon sedan with a Tickford XR6 VCT Sedan.
