Today we're going to look at a ton of different fabrics, so that we can learn how to tell them apart, and what fabrics you might want to use for what projects.

We will be looking at linen, cottons, silks, and wools, and some of their polyester counterparts -- pretty much all the fabrics you might use in your historical costuming.

What are your favorite fabrics to sew with? And do you have great sources for harder to find fabrics like polished cotton, cotton organdy, or inexpensive silk? Please comment them below!

Dharma Trading is great for fabrics that can be dyed, such as silk organza or lots of different types of cotton: https://www.dharmatrading.com/fabric/...

Fabric Mart Fabrics can sometimes have great deals on silks and wools: https://www.fabricmartfabrics.com/sil...
