Flash flood in Capitol Gorge of the Capitol Reef NP 9-1-2013

The following is an excerpt from a NOAA storm report from about an hour after we left, we were lucky! PARK RANGERS REPORTED FLOODING IN THE CAPITOL GORGE SECTION OF CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK...WITH WATER A FOOT HIGH FLOWING THROUGH THE GORGE...LEADING THEM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE THE AREA TO VISITORS.
