In this video, I guide you (visually) through the day and the hatching progress, up to the first attempt at feeding the youngest. It's like hitting a moving target :). I have already explained eaglets behaviour in my previous publication and why it happens - you won't find a single eagle nest without babies fighting so, until real damage is done, I have decided to look at the funny side of it. In this instance, it was amusing to see the eaglets fighting while the chick was trying to break the egg shell - hard work for them all! The chicks seem to be, so far, equally matched. I also loved watching the parents and observing their behaviour - it was nice to see them together a number of times throughout the day, and also sharing, on one occasion, the task of feeding their young! As you will see, baby eaglets tend to totally ignore the hatchling - it will probably become a rival the next day, when it starts claiming food. The nest is located at Turtle Bay, Redding, California. I am grateful to the owners of this live feed, Friends Of The Redding Eagles, for their permission to post videos. Friends of the Redding Eagles have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Friendsofthe... Here is the link to the live feed: https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/-CVZT7aOcJs I have read, in their chatroom, that they plan to add a description and nest history under their live feed. May I remind viewers that I am no expert and mine is not an educational channel, but I am always happy to share what I learn along the way. Constructive criticism and correction of mistakes are welcome, as long as people keep it on a courteous and friendly level. Thank you :)
