What is KDSS, how do I know if I have KDSS, and where are the KDSS valves?

This is a super common question for people looking to buy a new suspension for their Toyota 4Runner,  Lexus GX470 or GX460,  and Landcruiser 200 Series.  Suspension selections are usually a little different for vehicles WITH KDSS as they can't be lifted as high as a non-KDSS model, and also need to account for a lean that can be created by this hydraulic system.
