COMPONENTS OF A DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM
Efficiently deliver water directly to the root zones of plants by implementing a drip irrigation system. Drip systems save money and cut down on water wasted by delivering it to where plants need it most. Some components that make up a drip irrigation system include:
100 ft. Dura Flo Check Valve Tubing with .6 GPH emitters, 12 in. spacing
17mm fittings & Smart-Loc fittings (combination of tees, elbow, and couplers)
PVC Pipe and fittings
Figure 8 end plugs
Standard Rectangular Valve Box

DRIP IRRIGATION INSTALLATION STEPS
Have underground utility lines marked so you can avoid them
Gather required Dura Flo tubing, fittings, pipe, pipe fittings, end plugs, valve box, and tools
Determine flow rate and spacing
Calculate tubing amount needed and zone flow
Assemble drip irrigation valve and filter with necessary fittings
Place the drip irrigation control valve as close to center of landscape as possible
Dig hole big enough for a standard valve box
Connect valve assembly to the system main line
Measure and cut PVC pipe to proper lengths for lateral spacing; install service tees and adapters between pipe sections for lateral drip lines
Connect header to outlet side of drip irrigation valve and filter assembly
Cut appropriate sized sections of tubing to attach to lateral lines along pipe
Cut equal lengths of dripline to cover desired irrigation area and connect lateral lines to the supply header using fittings.
Install flush points at the low ends of the zone using Figure 8 end plugs
Cover tubing with desired groundcover like mulch

Help keep your plants happy and healthy by focusing your watering efforts when you switch to a drip irrigation system. With NDS, you can create a lasting drainage solution easily and inexpensively. Start planning your drainage project today!
