Hybrids have been on American roadways since 1999, when the Honda Insight made its debut. Today, hybrid vehicles are a rapidly growing segment of the automotive market and the need for capable technicians to service and repair their high voltage systems is growing with it.
Beginning with the Winter Testing Session (registration opens December 1, 2014 with testing appointments available after January 1, 2015), ASE will be offering a certification recognizing your abilities as a true hybrid repair specialist, the L3 “Light Duty Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Specialist”. In this edition of “In The Workshop”, ASE’s Tony Molla (VP – Communications) and John Tisdale (Executive Director – Test Development Operations) will explain the prerequisite requirements, costs and process of earning the L3 as well as answering commonly asked questions about the test and the ASE process in general.
