The weather is a fun topic to talk about! We can describe the weather in lots of different ways.
One way is to talk about the temperature. Temperature is how hot or cold it is outside. We can measure temperature in degrees. If it's hot outside, we might say it's “warm” or “hot”. And if it's cold outside, we might say it's “cold” or “frigid”.
Another way to talk about the weather is to talk about the humidity. Humidity is how much moisture is in the air. If the air is really wet, we might say it's “humid” or “sticky”. And if the air is really dry, we might say it's “dry” or “arid”.
We can also talk about the sky. We can look up at the sky and describe what we see. If it's a clear day, we might say it's “sunny” or “clear”. But if there are lots of clouds, we might say it's “cloudy” or “overcast”.
And finally, we can talk about the wind. Wind is the air that is moving around us. If the wind is blowing strongly, we might say it's “windy” or “gusty”. And if the wind is gentle, we might say it's “calm” or “breezy”.
