ED Attack In West Bengal: An Enforcement Directorate (ED) team faced hostility and vehicle damage in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, during an investigation into the Bongaon Ration Scam. TMC leader Sahjahan Sheikh's followers and locals disrupted the ED's visit to Sandeshkhali, where raids were conducted on the properties of Shahjahan Sheikh and Shankar Adhya, both block-level leaders. The ED's actions, backed by central security forces, aimed at probing the alleged scam, which also led to the arrest of state food minister Jyoti Priya Mallick. Attempting entry at Sheikh's residence, the NIA faced resistance, triggering a gathering that shouted slogans, assaulted officials, and damaged a vehicle during the chaos.
