Nicolas Poussin's 'great machine'

Sculptor Andrew Lacey and artist Siân Phillips talk about their carefully recreated replica of Poussin's 'great machine' based on the composition of Poussin's masterpiece 'Extreme Unction' (1638-40). The 'machine' was used by the artist to compose small wax figures to 'rehearse' the perspectival setting and fall of light and shade in an imagined space.
