Sydnee is the mom of twin 11-year-old boys Jake and Ian. When the boys were younger, Sydnee noticed that Ian was not developing as fast as his brother. Ian was evaluated, and diagnosed with autism. On the first episode of Our Special Life, we see what life is like for the Jorgl family, as they work with Ian's teachers at The Brooklyn Autism Center (http://www.brooklynautismcenter.org/) to help him develop.
