Gail force winds on 22nd June 2008 caused many flight delays and diversions at Leeds Bradford Airport, including two BMI flights being diverted to Durham Tees Valley, and one Futura flight to Manchester. This video shows several aircraft crabbing on approach before landing and aircraft taking off with what the weather forecast had said were 65mph cross wind gusts. Their are some spectacular results. Some identified aircraft are: Thomas Cook Airbus A320; Jet2 Boeing 737; BMI Embrear ERJ145; and an Air Southwest Bombardier Dash-8.
