Developing with Python, Visual Studio Code and Oracle Database

This demo provides an overview of developing applications using Visual Studio Code and Python with Oracle Database.

We will use Visual Studio Code and the python-oracledb driver to develop a Python application that gets data from Oracle Database. We will use the Oracle Developer Tools for VS Code extension to edit, run, and debug SQL and PL/SQL. We will check the code into Github where a Github Action will automatically build a container containing our app and deploy it to the Oracle Container Registry when it can be used by Oracle Cloud services.
