The NAM Atlântico is an amphibious assault ship, helicopter carrier type, belonging to the Brazilian Navy.
In today's video I show you a little of the largest ship in the Brazilian Navy, and I explain a little about the mighty NAM ATLANTICO. This ship is the only aerodrome in Latin America.
The vessel, originally named HMS Ocean, was built by the Vickers Shipbuilding and Engineering shipyard and served for twenty years in the UK Royal Navy, being sold by the British government to the Brazilian navy in February 2018, with its re-entry into active service in June. 2018. It was designed for amphibious naval operations, with an emphasis on troop landings, mainly Royal Marines, and support with attack and transport helicopters.
