A step by step tutorial on how to knit a heart shape the easy way

Materials you will need:
- Knitting knitting needles size 3.5mm: https://amzn.to/3tl0wLR

You can, of course, knit with any other yarn as well; Just make sure to pick a needle size that is relatively small compared to your yarn
Cast on 3 stitches using the long tail cast on and leaving a tail of around 6 inches for weaving in later.
And then simply knit across one row.
And from here, knit across each row with a kfb – knit front back increase as the last stitch until you have altogether 7 stitches: https://nimble-needles.com/stitches/h...
And then knit across one more row and cut the yarn leaving a tail of 6 inches or so.
Now, you finished the left lobe of the heart and you need another one.
Slide the finished lobe a bit to the other end of the needle. Then, cast on another 3 stitches using the same needle.
And then you need to repeat the same instructions again. So, knit across one row, and then increase with a kfb at the end of each following row.
Once you finished the second lobe, don’t cut the yarn because, from here, we will just continue knitting.
Slide the two parts together and then just knit across 6 stitches. And now, knit these two stitches together (https://nimble-needles.com/stitches/h.... Go really slowly and maybe keep a nice tension on this tail here. And then knit the remaining 6 stitches.
From here, you need to knit across four more rows before you can start with the decreases. Then, you need to knit across all rows but always knit together the last two stitches. So, start with knit 11 and then I k2tog. Turn around, knit 10, and k2tog. Continue repeating these two rows until you have 3 stitches left. Knit across one more row, and then cut the working yarn leaving a tail of 8 inches or so. Thread the tail on a tapestry needle, and then simply pull the yarn through the remaining stitches and drop the needle. Then you can pull tight. You don’t need to bind off at all.And now you finished your heart.
The only thing that remains is weaving in the tails. This is the only tricky part.
You basically have two choices: If you want a reversible heart, then I recommend going through the edges. And if you don’t mind that one side looks not as neat, you can weave in the tails the regular way, so you go through these purl bumps. And then, once you are satisfied, you may consider blocking your finished heart to neaten out the stitches.
And that’s it. That’s how to knit a heart shape.
