The theme song "Jiu Hwbai Nwng" of the documentary film "Rungothini Swrang" (Light of Transformation) of the Swrzeefung Production has been composed and formatted from multiple optics. The general structure of the song consists of three main sections: the first section deals with contemporary style, the second section is a composition based on Boro traditional tune with slight alteration in time signatures to accommodate contemporary parts. The third section is a blend with Boro folk traditional instruments to create a fusion between the Contemporary Music and Boro traditional folk music. The rational behind such blending is that the Boro Christian community in particular and the Boro society in general is in a period of transition. As an offshoot of postmodernity and postcoloniality there has been a cultural retrieval among the various indigenous tribes (including Boros) all over the world on the one hand and on the other we see the influence of modernity, particularly in music, dance and arts. Therefore, Boro Christian community and its culture seem to run in the dialectics of tradition (past, continuity) and transformation (contemporaneity, change), convention and innovation, repetition and rupture and necessity and freedom. As a part of cultural retrieval Boro Christians are reinscribing their once erasure and disavowed cultural elements such as music, dance and arts in their worship, pedagogy and mission practices.

            The Boro Christian community neither can live only with the past tradition nor only with present contemporaneity. To be genuine Boro Christians we need both. We need our traditional culture, music, dance and arts for the continuity of our identity as Boros and as tools for mission practices. But at the same time we need transformation of our culture in light of the gospel. Gospel transforms culture(s). The Boro Christian community cannot be whole unless it maintains a healthy balance between these two poles, that is between tradition and contemporaneity, past and present, repetition and rupture and necessity and freedom. When there is a dialectical integration of these two opposite poles in any given culture, and then only there can be a dialectical whole. Rational behind multiple artists: The documentary film "Rungothini Swrang" is the first endeavor of the Swrzeefung Production, so also the title song, "jiu hwbai nwng." For most of the artists this endeavor is a debut. Therefore, it is heuristic in nature on the part of the Swrzeefung Production. None of the artists and singers is in stardom position. None of them is an established artist and singer. The goal of Swrzeefung Production is to tape local talents and utilize their potentialities for God's glory and honor and for the extension of God's kingdom.
