The issue of transgender adults has gotten lots of attention recently in the wake of the very public transition of celebrity and champion athlete Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner. It isn't new that some men and women feel they were born into the wrong body, but what is new is that more families are facing challenges of very young children who say they are not the gender they were born into.
