5. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Abboude Abou Jawde, vintage film posters collector:
"I've watched a large number of films, over 4,000 to 5,000. I don't remember the story of each film as much as I remember the poster of the film that was hung in the cinema halls. That's what I like to preserve. And that is the reason we set up this place—to show people the way we saw these scenes in the cinema halls."

7. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Abboude Abou Jawde, vintage film posters collector:
"I used to go to the workers who hung film posters and ask them for some, or I would wait until after they were done and remove it (the poster) from the wall before it dries off. I would clean and keep them. We have nice memories of things that we've done in the old times."

8. Poster reading (English): "Visit Palestine"
9. Various of Assem al-Moghrabi, a student, looking through posters about Palestinian heritage
10. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Assem al-Moghrabi, student:
"Honestly, I asked a friend about shops where I can find things about Palestine's heritage or about the Lebanese heritage. They recommended this shop and told me I can find nice posters here. When I came in, the first thing that caught my attention is this (points to collection). They are all posters that talk about Palestine. It is great. Here is Jerusalem and the Dome of Rock. This is it. Honestly, I really like the place."

15. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Abboude Abou Jawde, vintage film posters collector:
"I got introduced to Arabic cinema through my posters. I went into it the other way around."

19. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Abboude Abou Jawde, vintage film posters collector:
"When I entered the print world, I saw beauty in them (the posters) and it is often nicer than the that of foreign posters. Slowly, I was introduced to it (Arabic cinema). I have an interest in history, so I looked for these films, and their history. I tried to watch them. I watched Arabic cinema as a grown up."

20. Various of Abou Jawde showing his book on cinema
21. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Abboude Abou Jawde, vintage film posters collector:
"This is a folk art that is lost. It was lost with all the technological development that we have now. For us, the posters were the advertisement that pulls you into the cinema, the poster hung on the entrance. There were no trailers or ads like we have now. They spread posters and images that pushed people to watch films in the cinema."
