This is the OCEANIA version of a song Teresa and many other Montessori teachers use as part of the Cultural Studies curriculum to introduce continents in the classroom. We made this version all about animals that live on each continent. You can substitute facts you are learning about the continents and write your own verses!

The puzzle map featured in the video is one typically used in Montessori classrooms, with colors consistent across all things related to that continent to build familiarity for young learners:
North America - orange
South America - pink
Europe - red
Asia - yellow
Africa - green
Antarctica - white
Oceania - brown

Note: other names for Oceania are Australia or Australasia. Australia (the country) along with New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Samoa, and other countries and territories are all part of Oceania.

Lyrics:
North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa
