Balloon Pulmonary Valvuloplasty: An uncommon procedure with successful results at Swagat Hospital

👨⚕️𝐃𝐫. 𝐃𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐬, the renowned Chief Interventional Cardiologist from 𝐒𝐰𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 🏥, recently performed an uncommon procedure called Balloon Pulmonary Valvuloplasty (BPV) on a patient with severe pulmonary stenosis.
The patient, a 30-year-old woman, came to Swagat Hospitals with complaints of easy fatigue and tiredness after doing mild work. On examination, it was found that there was a murmur in her heart. An ECGH was performed which revealed that there was a tight blockage/obstruction in one of her valves (Pulmonary valve).
𝐃𝐫. 𝐃𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐬 performed BPV, a minimally invasive procedure that uses a balloon to widen the pulmonary valve. The procedure was completed in 30 minutes and the patient was discharged from the hospital the next day.
The patient is now doing perfectly well and is able to carry out her daily activities without any difficulty.
