Learn how to quickly troubleshoot your 2004 thru 2008 Ford F-150 4.6L or 5.4L. I experienced a loss of power while interstate driving. I use a Superchips programmer as my scan tool to quickly read the Diagnostic Troubleshooting Codes (DTC) from my Powertrain Control Module. I get a PO307 Cylinder #7 Misfire Detected. I remove the #7 Coil and replace it with a new one. I run the engine and clear the fault code to determine if the code returns. Other common causes for this code include defective spark plug, bad coil, bad fuel injector, low fuel pressure, bad fuel, vacuum leak, bad camshaft or crankshaft sensor, camshaft timing off.
