This video shows the fogger I made using my push lawnmower. It has proven to be very effective in controlling mosquitoes and flies. Unlike most videos on YT on this subject...hopefully this one can actually show you how to build a fogger that will work...rather than just video of someone making fog with their riding mower! :)
Use this mixture at YOUR OWN RISK.
I am using a mixture of Malathion (50% strength) and diesel fuel. The accepted ratio is 1-25; so basically 5 ounces of Malathion to one gallon of diesel fuel. I had to get to a 1-20 ratio before I started killing the flies. Some people have used as high as a 1-11 ratio that will kill most things! However, that is a very dangerous airborne mixture to be using around the house/neighborhood/pets, etc. Regardless...use this at your own risk, don't breath the fog and be mindful of where the fog is going.
OH...I usually fog shortly after dark when the wind has settled and the air is cooling. If the air is cooling...that will help to drop the fog to the ground (rather than rising up) and if there is zero breeze...the fog will stay where you want it for a longer period of time; that equates to better killing and more effective use of your time and resources.
