Justice Minister Martha Karua Resigns.

Martha Wangari Karua has resigned as Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister. Karua says she has been unable to carry out her duties due to interference from a clique surrounding the President.  A disappointed Karua says her her frustrations were compounded by non-reformist leaders calling the shots in government. She however says she will  continue advocating for reforms in various institutions and also fight corruption.
