We teamed up with local historian Danny Sanders and visited the hidden Lair Family Vault, on the banks of the South Fork of the Licking River, in Harrison County, Kentucky. We take you inside the vault which holds the remains of the Ruddles Fort massacre that happened in 1780 when the British Captain Byrd lead a force of soldiers and Indian troops to seize the fort during the Revolutionary War. In this video we tell this story.

We also tell the story of the Lair family in this video. Stemming from 3 brothers, the Lairs were involved in numerous historical events to include the Revolutionary War and The War of 1812. Two of the brothers became very successful and built grand homes that became the center of the community. Charles Lair built what was once called one of the grandest houses in Kentucky which he named "The Cedars", but unfortunately is no longer standing. This video is full of photos, stories and images of the past at this location which is now nothing but a cattle field. Be sure to see the video to the end when you take you inside the vault!
