Cognitive (thinking) difficulties are very common in patients with brain cancer. Depending on the location of the tumor, patients may experience problems with attention, organizational skills, memory, or language that often worsen after treatment with radiation or chemotherapy, reports neuropsychologist Denise Correa of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Cognitive rehabilitation can help patients learn to compensate for these difficulties in their everyday lives.
