It could have been a
It could have been a regular Manute Bol performance with some blocks, some rebounds and some funny field goal attempts the moment he caught the ball (to his credit, he did assist his team-mates for a made bucket twice this game). However, number one, he rejected Michael Jordan twice. Yes, as silly as that sounds that matters. Number two, he made a real impact in the dying minutes of the game. Bol was subbed in for Charles Shackleford for a reason and that was to use his defensive presence to hold on to the lead. And, hooray, Manute indeed did heavily contest lay-ups by MJ and Scottie Pippen (this one was with less than 2 minutes remaining and a 1-point difference), foul Jordan hard on a lay-up twice (in a way, forcing him to only get 3 points out of those two possessions) and finally block a lay-up by Stacey King that could have won the game. December 7, 1991.
