Diagnosing Coagulopathy in Trauma: The Role of TEG and ROTEM Made Simple was presented by Sandro Rizoli, MD, on November 2, 2012, at the annual Southwest Trauma & Acute Care Symposium. TEG and ROTEM testing are incredibly useful tests intraoperatively when testing for coagulopathy. They do have limitations, such as their inability to test for mechanical bleed.
