My 5 Favorite Amish Foods

The Amish eat well. When I visit the Amish, I eat well too. Here are my 5 favorite Amish foods. Two of these are sweet/dessert foods, 2 are "non-sweet", and 1 is somewhere in-between.

This varies in different communities, but there is a set of typical - and some quite specific - foods Amish consume at this light, quickly-eaten, but delicious lunch (I actually included 2 of them on my list).
