Polaroid JoyCam (1999)
Some of the current Polaroid cameras have a not very banal design. It is the case of Popshots, Joycam and the I-zone. It is clearly with young customers that these cameras are addressed. Joycam uses the Captiva film, like Popshots, but it is not a question of disposable. The photographs have a size of 7,2 x 5,9 (landscape), but the photograph does not occupy all surface. Joycam is declined in several colors. As for Popshots and the I-zone, the launch of the photograph is not automatic, it is necessary to draw on the orange ring located on the left camera.

The JoyCam is another "point-and-shoot" instant camera from Polaroid. Some of the many unique features to the JoyCam are the manual film ejection and power from a battery in the film pack. The JoyCam uses Polaroid 500 Film; a general-purpose, high-speed, film that produces a medium contrast, high-definition instant color print. Although the JoyCam has been discontinued, it is readily available and cheap ($0.01) to purchase on eBay. The film however is a tad expensive, coming in right around $0.90 per exposure.

Uses Captiva/500 film: image area 2 7/8" x 2 1/8" (7.3 x 5.4 cm).
