Bhangarh is a tiny village in Rajasthan's Alwar district, quite close to the Sariska Tiger Reserve. The pre-historic village is believed to be haunted, and hence its population has not crossed 2000. Entering Bhangarh at night is not permitted by law.
Bhangarh Fort is a 17th century Fort built by Bhagwant Das for his son Madho Singh. Bhangarh Fort is said to be cursed by a wizard whose love was refuted by the Princess Ratnavati. It is illegal to enter Bhangarh Fort at night, there is a board by the Architectural Survey Of India that declares it prohibited to enter between sunset and sunrise.
