MERCURY (Hg) vs CORN SYRUP

Mercury is the densest metal that happens to be a liquid at room temperature. We interact two liquids with very opposite properties.  High density vs high viscosity.

I really do not know what the murky residue that can be seen following some of the droplets.  It could be impurities in the mercury or simply very small air bubbles.
