Learn how to paint a galaxy for beginners with Mark Waller.  Using a small canvas and Atelier Free Flow artists acrylics, let Mark guide you through the steps to create this beautiful light filled galaxy in just 15 minutes!  Learn brush technique to blend colour effectively, create stars using colour to create realism and distance in your painting, and create cosmic effects that your friends and family will be amazed by!

Materials used in this tutorial:

Stretched canvas (just use a student quality for practising) approximately 60cm x 40cm

Paint:

Atelier Free Flow Artists Acrylics:
Titanium White
Cadmium Yellow Medium
Pthalo Blue
Permanent Alizarine
Dioxazine Purple
Carbon Black

Atelier Universal Medium and Varnish (optional, for sealing at the end)

Brushes:
largish cheapish house painting brush approx 8cm across
smaller cheapish house painting brush 2.5cm across
12 Micador Flat 1600
Synthetic chisel (flat) brushes, old and beaten up.  Approximate sizes 8 and 4.

Old rag for wiping off excess paint
Water Pot - large
