1943, MUSCLE BEACH, SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA, PERIOD SWIMMING ATIRE, ACROBATICS

This film was shot during WWII when many of America's young men had gone to war. There is a disproportionate number of female to male beach goers. The footage was shot in Santa Monica California with some scenes being shot at the foot of Pico Blvd near Casa Del Mar with a view of the pier in the background. Notice the bathing suite styles from the period.
