While he did not relish a higher profile as some of his fellow Saxon performers Peter King is one of the most influential MCs in the history of UK reggae. Working alongside Maxi Priest, Papa Levi, Smiley Culture and Asher Senator (who joins him on `To Lie, Fib Fib') he is widely acknowledged as the originator of the fast style of chatting when he would rap to the rhythms at the pace of an auctioneer or racing commentator. His fast style inspired General Levi's Jamaican chart topper, `Mi God Mi King' while he also scored in his own right with `Mi Neat Mi Sweet', `Bad Memory' and an English take on the Sleng Teng riddim `Step On The Gas (Hit The Road Don)'.
