February 10, 1990 - After his final round score came up strangely short in 1988, Dominique Wilkins took his turn as a controversial champion in 1990 as the Miami crowd voiced a level of displeasure for Wilkins' high scores. Wilkins' final round total eclipsed fellow contender Kenny Smith by 1.7 points (146.8 to 145.1). In what would be Dominique's final dunk contest entry, he earned his second career dunk trophy.
