How to sew a Sun Dress | Sewing Tutorial | Sewing Pattern: Natalie Pattern | Frocks & Frolics
The Natalie is a larger project with 4 different videos, each concentrating on a different technique. It runs from age 1-2 up to 12.
To access the pattern and the playlist hover the mouse over the right hand top corner of the video. The info button will appear. Click on it and the link to the pattern shop as well as the playlist will appear.
The Yellow one:
Here I show you a beautiful hem without any rough edges which also looks like it has a petticoat. We also putting in some ties how its done in industry. There is a trick to it. In retrospect I would serge the side seams instead of using french seams, but that is up to you.

The red one:
There is one basic polka dot video which shows you another trick to sew a clean looking dress without an serger. A neat trick for everyone! Them again has that gorgeous fake double layer.

You can make this dress with binding. Its quite simple and quick, but I actually think its not the easiest. So beginner beware :)

This gorgeous dress focuses on embellishment. How to attach rick-rack without problems and using it and binding to create little features.

This video shows you how to apply a fake slim sash and tie backs and how to insert lace into the shoulder straps. The pockets used here are the Megan pockets. The complete pattern set can be viewed on my channel and the playlist Natalie Sun dress.
