Today marks 41 years since
Today marks 41 years since the first episode of Postman Pat premiered on BBC1 in September 1981. So I thought, what better way to commemorate this anniversary than to take one of the better-known parodies knocking about on YouTube, and splice the audio from that with remastered footage?
Well, that last paragraph sums up the gist of this video pretty well, so there's no need for me to say any more about it. Except, of course, to list all the components I used:
The audio is of course taken from the original 'Postman Pat's Banging Day Out', which was created in 2003 by TV13 - specifically from a 2014 reupload.
Most of the footage is taken from uploads of the original series by Aiden Slater, with the exception of the opening titles (from an upload of a Swedish-dubbed episode), and the blank end credits (courtesy of Momshagger420).
Of course, it goes without saying that I own none of the audio or footage used here - as this is a parody, the use of this material is covered by fair use. I also have no connection with TV13, and this remaster has not been endorsed by them in any way.
Finally, since the content of the video itself apparently isn't proof enough that it's not suitable for kids, here's some more gratuitous swearing: fuck, shit, twat, Parcelforce.
