Goat Breeding - Females meet the "Bachelors"

Keeping the goats working as much as possible is important to us at Goat Dispatch. We bring the bucks out to the fields to hand-breed our does while they work. When a doe is ready to breed she will be standing by the buck pens and wagging her tail. We then put her inside the pen with the buck who has the traits we are trying to breed for to make the best "Service Goat" that we can. We do need to supplement the bucks with hay in their smaller enclosures. Some bucks can be hard on fences during the breeding season and we find its better to have 2 fence panels bent up vs an entire 20 panel fence back and he farm!
