What is: Responsive and Steady Mode?

Cheyenne tattoo machines like SOL Luna, SOL Terra and SOL Nova Unlimited come with both STEADY Mode and RESPONSIVE Mode (formerly known as SensiDrive). But what do they do, when would you use the Steady Mode vs Responsive Mode and how should you decide which one is best for which tattoo technique and skin type?
