Week 2 of My 30 Day No Butter No Oil Hair Detox

Our hair is made of oil (amongst other things) and our scalp produces oil to protect the hair. Oil is not bad for the hair lol!
However, constantly sealing the hair throughout the week will not help with moisturization. It will help with hair pliability and slip- which can reduce breakage, but over time product buildup can prevent water from penetrating the hair shaft.
Both groups of people are correct. Moderation and paying attention to what your hair needs in the moment is key. Blanket statements aren’t always helpful.
