Has the Ice Maker in Your Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator stopped making ICE? Here are some easy fixes for when the ice just stops. You can do these Yourself with minimal digging around. This Whirlpool refrigerator has the ice make located in the upper left corner. Push the button in the upper right corner of the ice compartment and pull out the ice tray. The area inside the ice maker and the freezer has to maintain a temperature of 10 degrees or lower in order to make ice. Temperature can be measured by placing a thermometer in the ice tray for a couple of minutes. Another thing to look at is the metal arm inside the ice maker. Which position is it in? Is it stuck?
