The video shows how I paint an abstract acrylic painting. I start by using three colours for the background of the canvas, which I apply in sweeps with a flat, wide brush. I then apply various pearl colours in green, violet and blue as well as the metallic colour gold. Prussian blue is just as important as green and turquoise on the canvas. Gerhard Richter's abstract painting and squeegee technique has always fascinated me. His large-format paintings with the different colour areas are great abstract paintings.
