Nio will maintain its current pricing in Europe and hopes to resolve the issue with the EU by November 2024. Xpeng plans to protect current and future customers from price increases due to the tariffs. Xpeng is also exploring local manufacturing in Europe. The EU will impose tariffs of 17.4% on BYD, 19.9% on Geely, and 37.6% on SAIC. Nio and Xpeng will face a 20.8% tariff, in addition to the existing 10%.
