How To Fix Samsung Top Load Washer Turns On But Won't Start The Cycle (Easy Troubleshoot Guide!). In this video tutorial I will show you how to fix Samsung top load washer turns on but won't start the cycle.

The main reason why this happens is;
• A faulty lid lock mechanism

Here is how to fix the issue;
Replace the faulty lid lock mechanism.
• Disconnect the washer from power by switching it off and unplugging it from the power source.
• Remove the two brackets holding the back panel.
• Remove the back cover holding the control board by unscrewing the four screws.
•  Remove the upper part of the washer by pushing inward four clips. Use a thin flat chisel-like object that can fit between the groove of the upper and lower part.
• Remove the lock mechanism on the upper part by removing the two screws and disconnecting the wire from the control board.
• Remove the top cover of the control board housing by bending it forward and lifting it.
• Locate the grey wire connecting the lock mechanism to the control board and unclip it.
• Unwind the wire and remove the lock mechanism.
• Replace it with a new one.
• Return the top covers and screw back the back cover.  
Replace the brackets and test the washer
