Aji Al-Quraishi Prio Nabi' is
Aji Al-Quraishi Prio Nabi' is an ode to The Most Beloved Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (PBUH) - written and composed by the great Luminary of Bangla, Kazi Nazrul Islamn (1899-1976). Like many other devotional songs of Nazrul, this poem hails the beauty, virtues and the Prophet's place of honour. It was first recorded in 1937.
While singing about the Beloved Prophet's glorious presence on this earth, the poet also elaborates that the holy incident of Muhammad's (PBUH) descend among the humanity is considered as an affair of great joy and ecstacy for the Muslims and all the people. Thus the song has a colour of joyful melody along with its beautiful conventional 'Raag Narul'. The song has a composition of mixed energy of ecstacy, fesitvity, celelbration, divinity, revolution and glorification. Inevitably, it has a mixture of Indian/Urdu Qawal and Sur, Persian/Arabic texture along with traditional Bangla Sur. Its a beautiful blending of many musical colours and shades all in one song like most of Nazrul's devotional/Spiritual songs.
In this remake version of Ishrak Hussain, he and his co-artists Obaidur Rahman & Murtuja Ahmad created a vibrant rendition with the mixture of new Arabian/Persian Maqam, few more new application of Indian Raag and Qawal. has a deep, bold voice and he established the root quality of the song. has a bold yet striking quality in his voice which adds to the cheerful rythm. Ishrak, with his comparatively softer vocal approach and a mix quality established a bridge between the ascending and the descending waves. The song is, therefore, enriched in message, lyrical depth and beauty, colours and sounds which uplift the Muslim spirit with the utmost love and devotion by deepening the understanding of the Prophetic greatness found in all Creations of God Almighty.
*Al Quraishi is one of given names for Muhammad (PBUH) as he comes from the Arabian tribe of 'Quraish'. This title is used here to glorify the Prophet's origin.
