Best Tires for BMW S1000 XR? Pirelli Diablo vs. Michelin Pilot Road 5

Product Review: Michelin Pilot Road 5 vs. Pirelli Diablo (OEM) on my 2018 BMW S1000 XR.

What is "the best tire" for any motorcycle? The one you like and TRUST the most.

Nobody in the Mindful Motorcycling community thinks about buying the cheapest tire we can get for our motorcycles any more than we would want the dumbest brain surgeon to do the long overdue transplant your spouse tells you to have.

Nope. But we do care about the value of the motorcycle tires we buy, right folks?

I do. Look $250 US plus any labor or fee we might have to pay should we suck royally with a wrench like I do.

SO, when my OEM Pirelli Diablo rear tire wear bar showed through at just over 2,100 +/- miles, I had ling been thinking about what to do next.

The Michelin Pilot Road 5 is a no brainer!!! (For me.)

Same as every other Michelin tire I ever bought with only one exception ... My '16 GS ate through a Michelin Anakee Wild.

Look, the rear tire always goes first. So if if have the choice between any tire of comparable price and performance, which we all know is subjective after the factory data, I am going with the tore that lasts 2-3 times longer.

For me, the best motorcycle tire for the BMW S1000 XR is the Michelin Pilot Road 5.
